Covid-19 Quarantine can’t contain our enthusiasm for learning! Newport teachers are working hard to send the classroom home each week. This past week was especially fun as we learned about puppetry.
Puppetry Week
Elmo has got nothing on the gloves, socks, and other amazing things our teachers turned into puppets this week to teach us.

Zoo Week:
Zoo Week was full of fun and learning. There were virtual field trips to the Lincoln Park and Brookfield Zoos, students designed their own zoos, we even had a zoo animal show and share. And the Zoom lessons were even more fun because our teachers and students dressed up as zoo animals.
There was even a zebra face paint tutorial on a classroom chat!
Mother’s Day:
Newport wasn’t about to stop celebrating that special lady just because of a Pandemic. We made cards from a distance, posted a yoga video just for moms, and even hosted ‘Mommy and Me” Music classes online. Here’s one of the songs Ms. Pang sang for the occasion:
