Special Visit from the North Pole

Santa was able to take a little time out of his hectic holiday schedule to visit Newport earlier this month. Newport students got the chance to take a photo with the big guy and even remind him about things on their Christmas list.

Holiday Hooplah

Classroom holiday parties were festive and entertaining as always. Four classrooms of toddlers and twos gave performances during their parties this year. They impressed parents and teachers “Rocking Around The Christmas Tree,” doing the “Reindeer Pokey,” dancing with “Little Snowflakes” and spinning like dreidels! Not to be outdone, our preschoolers dazzled in the fourth annual Newport Holiday Concerts! This year’s performance was held upstairs in a much larger venue and our stars rose to the occasion filling the extra space with amazing renditions of “I Want A Hippopotamus for Christmas” and “Hanukkah!”

Let It Snow!

The highlight of the holiday concert turned out to be the scenery! Fluffy snow was used to create a magical Winter-scape and a very distracting play space. Luckily, the snow stuck around and everyone got to play in it during our annual Friday before Winter break Pajama Day!
